At the beginning of 1990, she started performing professionally and dancing at the Boulder Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. In Minnesota she was employed at a regional theater where her character in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) was a comedy documentary that focused on beauty magazines. She moved into Los Angeles after making her debut in the screen with a good-natured but snarky contestant. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. The the actress Norma Shearer Leigh secured a deal with MGM and began her career as a film actress during the latter half of 1940s. Leigh was a star in a variety of popular films during the following decade, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from 1960) and Living It Up (1954), starring Martin Lewis.
